New Year’s is not just about making resolutions, its about sticking to them.

A great way to find some resolutions, is through reading. Read all you can and get inspired by lessons and mistakes made in books. And after making those resolutions, the hard part comes- sticking to them. Reading not only helps you find resolutions, it also helps you keep true to them. Find books that speak to you.

Everyone promises New Year resolutions every year, continually promising the same things every year. This book coaches you to make sure you not only make those resolutions, but follow through and ultimately make them permanent. This book is how we can solidify those empty resolutions to actually better ourselves.

  1. Bridget Jones’ Diary by Helen Fielding

If anyone is an example of mistakes and multiple attempts to remake them self, its Bridget Jones. Watching this character fumble through life in an attempt to get it right is the perfect book for life lessons and motivation to try and get it right this year. This book is not only an extremely entertaining read, but it helps us remember that we are flawed and therefore might not meet all our New Year’s resolutions.

What’s one of the best New Year’s Resolutions that will really make you a better person? Making the resolution to be happy. Though it’s a difficult one to manage all the time, it can be done. This is not only a great New Year resolution inspirational book, it’s also just an amazing read in general. Ngozi shows how feminism can be for everybody. The New Year is always the time to try to work harder for woman’s rights and this book is great for everyone, men and women.

New Year’s resolution related to this one: Read ALL your books! This seems like a willing resolution for all of us.
